Towards the end of September, I was invited by H. Moser & Cie to witness the first parabolic zero-gravity flight in Switzerland, where the independent family-owned brand its escapement-making sister company Precision Engineering AG partnered with the University of Zürich to conduct the first tests on watch movements and components in a zero gravity environment. During the event, H. Moser & Cie also took the opportunity to present its latest collection of sporty-chic watches, the Pioneer.
The skeptic in me had to wonder, was there any real merit to the zero gravity tests or was it simply a way for H. Moser & Cie to make some noise?
