Ever since I visited Bovet’s movement manufacture last year during the 10th anniversary of the Fondation Qualité Fleurier, I have a newfound respect for the independent brand.

Yet as much as I can appreciate the work that goes into a Bovet timepiece, the pocket-watch inspired case design of the majority of their pieces is a bit too, well, lavishly classical for me. And that’s where the 19 Thirty collection comes in, with two very different kinds of case executions…
